BSB opener beckons for title challenger Haslam

JG Speedfit Kawasaki's Leon Haslam heads into this weekend's MCE British Superbike Championship opening round looking for victory in Sunday's two races.

“Pre season testing has been very positive overall," said Haslam. "We’ve got through everything we wanted to and I feel like we’re in a really good place.

"Everyone on the team has been working well together and we just want to get racing now. The opening round is always going to be an exciting affair and for it to be taking place at my local circuit is a real boost.

”But there are always a lot of unknowns in the opening round - new riders, new machines, riders changing teams and machines and so on. It should be quite an exciting weekend and I can't wait to get going."
