Haslam returns to World Superbike action in Qatar

JG Speedfit Kawasaki's Leon Haslam moves on from finishing runner-up in the MCE British Superbike Championship last week to contest the final round of the World Superbike Championship at the Losail circuit in Qatar this weekend.

Haslam will race for the Pedercini official Kawasaki team, he said: "Lucio Pedercini has been asking me to ride at quite a few rounds this year but obviously the BSB commitments and contracts prevented that.

"But with the season over, we've finally been able to do something together. It's also something that Kawasaki were keen for me to do so I can get to test the full Kawasaki World Superbike specification machine.

"The machine Pedercini runs has the same engine, electronics and suspension as the factory bike, it’s only the swingarm that is different.

“There's no pressure on me so it will be great to just get out there and race - especially at an event that I won last year.”
