Mixed return for Haslam at Snetterton

JG Speedfit Kawasaki's Leon Haslam took fourth and eighth place finishes in Sunday's two races of the fifth round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk.

“It was always going to be a tough weekend after the big crash at Knockhill. To get two finishes was the first priority but fourth and eighth place finishes is not where we want to be.

“We made a good start to the season with plenty of wins and podiums and that’s where we need to get back to – and quickly. The track temperature at Snetterton was again a decisive issue in terms of tyre selection and so became a bit of a gamble.

“After a couple of disappointing rounds we’ll re-group and be challenging at Brands Hatch in three weeks. I’ve got two Suzuka 8 hours tests coming up so will now be in Japan for most of July, hopefully preparing for a victory there!”

Ends.
